Commercial & Contractual Strategy: Advising clients on optimal contract selection (NEC, PWC, FIDIC, JCT, and bespoke forms), effective risk allocation, and conducting thorough pre- and post-contract reviews for major projects to safeguard commercial interests.
Proactive Claims Management: Guiding clients on robust claims preparation, defence, and assessment strategies for variations, extensions of time (EOT), loss and expense, and payment issues, with a focus on dispute avoidance through effective administration.
Expert Dispute Resolution: Providing strategic support across the full spectrum of dispute resolution mechanisms prevalent in Ireland and the UK. This includes navigating PWC and RIAI conciliation processes, representing parties in statutory adjudication under the CCA 2013 (payment disputes) and UK HGCRA, and offering commercial support during arbitration.
Project Assurance & Risk Mitigation: Implementing proactive risk mitigation frameworks, advising on effective project controls and governance, and conducting independent project health checks to provide assurance to stakeholders and prevent issues from escalating.
Construction & Infrastructure Due Diligence: Leading comprehensive commercial, contractual, and project status due diligence reviews for investors, lenders, and developers considering significant commitments in the sector.
Before founding Kiltoom Advisory, Traoloch held significant leadership positions, including CEO of Ericsson in Ireland and Managing Director of Actavo (a global engineering services company) in the UK and Ireland. This executive background provides him with invaluable insight into the strategic pressures and operational realities faced by clients undertaking major capital projects.
Traoloch holds an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from Trinity College Dublin and currently serves as a non-Executive Director on the boards of several profit and not-for-profit organisations in the UK and Ireland, maintaining a broad commercial perspective.
